Bhabatosh Samal

Bhabatosh was born in a small village named Jugpura, Khadikapada in Mayurbhanj District in 1997 and Despite of his family’s bad economic condition he never gave up.

After completion of his ITI degree he got a job in Ordnance Factory Board in Jabalpur. Now he is working as a Technician in Level II grade in Ordnance Factory Board. He earns a monthly salary of about Rs. 31,000/- per month.

Bikash Ranjan Mahan

Bikash Ranjan Mahana was born in 6th June 1994 in a small village named Banakadi in Mayurbhanj district and his father is a farmer.

After completion of his ITI degree he got a job in Ordance Factory Board in Hyderabad and working as a Fitter General with a monthly salary of about Rs. 30,000/- per month.

Bishnu Pada

Bishnu Pada was born in 17th June 1997 remote village in Balasore district. His family includes his father, mother and his younger brother. His father is a farmer.

After completion of ITI he joined diploma in Boudh Govt. college in 2014, but he could not complete the course as he got a job in an ordinance factory (OFB) in Jabalpur. He preferred the job over studies. Later he secured his job in DRDO, now he is working as a technician in DRDO in Telangana. He is opting to complete his diploma course for his J.E post in DRDO in 2017. He earns a monthly salary of about Rs. 35,000/- per month.

Chintamani Das

Chintamani was born on 13th February,1993 to Shri. Banamali Das in Bhimpur, Balasore district. His father is a farmer and his mother is a housewife.

He used to join the catering services to meet his daily and monthly expenses. When he received any extra income he used to give it to his parents saying that he was earning through giving tutions. Chintamani’s dream was to become an actor but since he did not get such opportunity he grabbed whatever came on the way. He is now working with Asian Paints in Pune and earns a monthly salary of Rs. 39,000/- making his parents proud of him.

Girija Shankar Behera

Girija was born in 14th October 1992 from Jalesware in Balasore district and his father is a farmer. His family includes his father, mother and his other siblings.

After completion of ITI he got a job in an ordinance factory (OFB) in Balangir, Odisha. He preferred the job over studies. He earns a monthly salary of about Rs. 25,000/- per month

Himanshu Sekhar Patra

Himanshu is born Bahanada village in Mayurbhanj district on 1st March, 1995. Due to financial issues, his father who is a farmer in occupation was not able to meet the expenses of the family.

He underwent training in Fitter Immediately after the completion of his training in ITI he got recruited in Rourkela Steel Plant. But unfortunately he was disqualified because of the delay in issuing of the certificate in college. Then luckily he got selected in a campus placement by TATA steel. He had a dilemma if he should opt for the private sector or whether he should wait for a job in the government sector. But since he had got a chance to earn a living he did not want to go in vain. So he opted to join TATA. During the 1year training period he received a stipend of Rs.6000/- per month. And a year later, his job was made permanent.

Abinash Nayak

Abinash born on 2000 in Bagaldiha, a small village in Amarda in Balasore. His father worked as a wiring man with a monthly income of around Rs.3000.

During this pandemic time, in order to support himself and his family he had to leave his home to earn for his living. He has got selected in TATA Motors in Bhawanipatna and is under training as a machine operator. After the completion of the training he is assured of Rs.10000/- salary per month.

Kailash Chandra Barik

Born in a farmer’s family, Kailash’s childhood was full of struggles. He used to go out to the field to work and make out his time to go to school to study.

He applied for government ITI and meanwhile he worked in different companies. But due to immense work pressure he was demoralized and then one of his friend advised him to take coaching classes that would help him to click a job. Taking coaching classes everyday was also not that easy for Kailash as he had to walk 5kms every day. This became very hectic for him. After a painful journey, Kailash he got a government job as an examiner. Kailash is full of life and never loses hope. He believes that hard work will never fail.

Kamal Lochan Mohanty

Kamal born in Nuagaon village in Balasore district on 8th August 2001. His Father is a farmer and Mother a house wife.

He got selected in Freudenberg Pvt. Ltd in the year 2020 January 27th. He hopes to revive his family’s happiness and wants a blissful life for himself, his brother, sister and moreover for his parents. Pursuing ITI has built up a confidence in him. He is learning to face challenges in a positive way.

Mitali Rashmi Nayak

She comes from Barapada village, Khantapada, Balasore district. Her family is economically down. She is the middle child among the siblings.

She then got admission in ITI with trade C.O.E (Electrical) in the 2010. While pursuing her ITI studies she was tutoring to other students for her pocket money. She passed out ITI in the year 2012 with 88%. She always had high aspirations and wanted to study higher so she joined diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt. Polytechnic, Balasore in the year 2013-2016. She passed out diploma in the year 2016 with 80%. After her diploma she applied at OPTCL which was advertised in the newspaper. She was qualified in the written and was called for skill test exam. Her skill test exam was pending so she went to take permission from the principal of Govt.ITI Balasore. Who encouraged her and gave permission to practice skill test in the ITI premises. During her practice period Mr. Anil Ku Rana Sir who is the ATO of COE (Electrical) and Mr. J.C. Muduli Sir guided her. She topped in Odisha in skill test exam. It was a proud moment for Govt.ITI. She was awarded with her joining letter from OPTCL from the Chief minister of Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik. Her dream was in reality. She then joined at 132/33ev grid sis, Soro as a junior Technician in the year 2017.She is continuing her job in OPTCL and draws a monthly salary of Rs. 32,000.

Sushant Bhaba

Sushant comes from Mahatipur, Balasore district. He joined ITI in the year 2010 and then he took coaching after completion of ITI.

He is now working with Atomic Energy as a Technician in Telangana and earning a monthly salary of Rs. 12,500 per month as he is in the training making his parents proud of him.

Nalini Dheer

Nalini was born on 04.04.1990 in Kherona a remote village in Suliapada, Muyurbhanj district and his father is a farmer.

Nalini started his journey to pursue ITI on 2009 and passed out in 2011 and now he has earned a job in the DRDO, Chennai. He is the first person to get a central government job. He achieved the 1st rank in all India basis. There were only two posts in all India basis. During his study period, he had to go through a lot of financial difficulties but Nalini overcame it and made it through. He made ropes using the Sabai grass. He used to earn by making and selling those ropes.

Government Industrial Training Institute, Balasore was started in the year 2005 and has completed more than 16 years of useful service to the student community across Odisha by raising their living standards by imparting to them several income generating skills.
